The Roman's Road to Heaven

How can you know for sure that if you died today you would go to Heaven?

All you have to know are 4 things;

1] Man is a sinner. Romans As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

2] There is a price on sin, eternal death. Romans For the wages of sin is death; Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

3] Jesus paid that price on the cross. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

4] By faith in Christ we can be saved. Romans For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

HERE IS HOW YOU CALL UPON THE LORD

Do you admit that you are a sinner?

Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God?

If you are sorry for your sins and would like for God to save your soul, just ask Him.

Dear Jesus,
Please forgive me of my sins. I trust you today, JESUS, and only You, to take me to HEAVEN when I die. Thank you for saving me.
Amen.

Just as you were born to your parents, you were born into the Kingdom of God when you called on Jesus!

HOW TO BE SAVED AND UNITE WITH ROPER BAPTIST CHURCH

1. BY RECEIVING JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR AND LORD, AND BAPTISM.

The New Testament church is made up of baptized believers and therefore, if you have not done so, we pray you will accept Jesus Christ as your own personal Savior.  To believe in Christ is to trust in Him and Him alone for salvation, accepting His death for your sin and committing yourself to Him and His will for your life.  When you have done this the best you know how, show your obedience to Him by following Him in baptism and church membership.  During the hymn of invitation, go and take the pastor’s hand and tell him you repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  He will ask you to pray with him.  Then request to be a member of the church upon the promise of following Jesus in baptism.

2. BY BAPTISM

If you have already been saved and are a member of another church, but have not been baptized by immersion, you can join by being baptized as our Lord was.  In no way does this question your sincerity or what the experience in the other church meant to you, but it does identify you with those of us who believe sincerely that New Testament baptism is immersion.

3. BY LETTER

If you currently belong to another church of like faith, you need only to come forward and request that we write that church stating you want membership with us and they will happily send to us your letter.  Having your membership in a church where you live and can attend is imperative for effective service, growth, and a witness in the community where you live.

4. BY STATEMENT

a)    If your membership was formerly in a church of like faith which has since been disbanded, or the records have been destroyed, or some other reason which prevents our writing for a transfer letter, you may state this and request that we receive you into membership by statement.

b)    If you have been a member of a Baptist church, have received Christ as your Savior and been baptized by immersion in the meaning held by this church, but don’t’ know how we can contact them, you may come by your personal statement.

c)     If you were formerly a member of a Baptist church but have since joined a church of another denomination (or if for some reason you are not sure where your membership is), you can come into our membership by statement.
